WwB (What would be...) A good plant recommendation?
Aloe camperi
Common name: Popcorn Aloe
I know, you see Aloes around a lot these days. But, try thinking of any variety that comes to mind having rich, verdant green leaves- and is the size of a nice medium-sized flax (Phormium, except its leaves don’t get ugly with age). Imagine a green aloe that never grows into bush form, but clumps from the base, upright, to 2 1/2 ft. tall. That should get you going! ... Oh, I forgot the masses of brilliant orange, puffy flowers that come late in the season for Aloes- blowing away any “Kangaroo Paws” for flower power! Tough, durable, cold-hardy to low 20’s.
Don't forget to ask about the "Certified Label Program," when picking up new plants.
